Here are three outfits I put together for different Valentine’s Day events. You don’t have to be spending time with a lover to have a day filled with love and you don’t have to be overdressed to show your festive. Have a great Valentine’s Day! XOXO
Ps. Don’t mind my awkwardness in the video it was my first time and i promise to get better with practice 🙂
Darker hues are must in your closet for fall and winter..
And Oxblood is definitely the color of the season! Here’s 3 looks i put together using oxblood colored items. Hope you can get inspired to take on this very flattering very gorgeous color of the cooler months! 🙂
and the weather begins to cool, what we wear obviously begins to change too! One of the best ways to start making your wardrobe start to feel more fall inspired is to pair a great dress with some tights. Here i have three totally different ways to wear different types of dresses with tights…
SWEATER DRESS: This is easily the most casual and comfortable look that anyone can pull off! Add a cute little beanie to keep your head warm, some awesome riding boots with a little extra touch (these ones are quilted), and a cross body bag and your ready to do your errands for the day!
VINTAGE INSPIRED DRESS: I just fell in LOVE with this beautiful floral dress when I saw it and i thought it would be a great day time dress for fall! To keep with the vintage inspiration of the dress I paired some oxford heels with it along with a sparrow necklace. I added a burgundy cardigan and a mustard-colored scarf, which are both colors in the details of the dress, to make it more interesting.
LACE DRESS: Lace Dress are beautiful and perfect for date nights! This one is a perfect length and silhouette for everybody type! Since the dress itself it very feminine, I added more edgy arm candy like the skull bangle and spiked bracelet. Lace-up booties are a perfect footwear for a date night because the chunky heel keeps the shoe every comfortable. Throw a cute peacoat over it and your ready for a great night!
use to be the first thing I used to think of when I hear oxfords, but now the fashion world has turned the oxford upside down and changed the way everyone used to think of them! The have become a new style of flat that everyone (including me) love and are wearing these days! They come in beautiful prints and colors, they can be dressed up or down, and they are comfy! They really are an awesome style that I suggest everyone try because I am more than sure there is a style of oxford out there for you! I picked out my favorite pairs of oxfords to show you the variety that this shoe can have. Most of these styles are more special(a GREAT way to perk up an outfit) but there are definitely ones out there that are more casual and everyday. Here’s some inspiration I hope you all like…
Blazers are a staple piece that will never go out of style..
They are the perfect piece to add a little polish to a look. They add just that little extra pizazz to a casual outfit. Blazers are a MUST in a wardrobe, but who says you have to have just basic black, white, and boyfriend? I found some amazing more special looking blazers that would be great to have in any wardrobe! I tried to do a high-end and a low-end version of each. Here are blazers I would die to have:
Jeans have always been the hardest thing for a women to shop for..
because for one: no one woman has the same exact body shape and for two: not every “trend” is for everybody. Fortunately for you as long as you have a great fit that accentuates your figure your jean will never go out of style! Here are some common problems that a lot of people have with jeans and lucky for you I have a solution for each of them!
The Little/ Flat Butt
This is a problem I struggle with so it is the one I am most knowledgeable about. I’ve looked high and low to find ways to make my rear end look larger. These are the best tips I’ve come up with:
Look for back pockets with details such as pocket flaps, embellishments, designs, etc. Pretty much the more bulk and dimension your pocket has the bigger it will make your butt look.
Look for pockets that are spaced a little wider. The wider the pockets are spaced will give your bump more width.
Stick with a low to mid rise. The lower your rise is to your butt will make it look plumper rather than a high rise that would certainly make your already flat butt look too long.
Choose a jean with stretch (lycra) in it not a stiff jean. Lycra is a material they put in jeans to make them more stretchy and less stiff. A stiff jean will only make your butt look flat and squished while a jean with stretch helps follow the curve of your figure.
This is another big issue that a lot of women are faced with but to me is one of the simplest problems to solve!
ALWAYS choose a dark washed jean. The darker the jean the slimmer the effect. It always looks classier and more put together to wear a dark washed jeans rather than a light worn one. “Worn” and faded jeans will almost alway emphasize the area in which they are most worn which usually happens to be the thigh.
Choose a straight style jean. A jean that is straight style follows a straight line from your hip to your ankle, In doing so it doesn’t buckle at your knee. When your jean buckles at the knee it will make the other parts of the jean look larger so definitely chose a jean that does not hug your knees.
Choose a jean with a little more of a flare/ boot cut. AS LONG AS it doesn’t hug your knees too much, you can choose this style jeans also. It will help bring proportion to your legs by adding a little width to your calves.
Get a jean with flat or no pockets in the front. Pocket openings almost always add width to wear they are so to divert that pick a jean with a faux pocket or a pocket that sits completely flat on your hip.
The woman with a pretty straight frame, not much hips, and not much (if any at all) is this type. One of the most easy women to dress, here are some helpful hints to put a little hour in your straight glass.
A skinny jean or jegging. The closer the jean openings are to your ankle, the more it will emphasize the other parts of your legs. By making this area of your jeans the closest to your body the more curvaceous it will make your hips look.
Pick a rise that sits right on your hip. Picking a jean that sits on the widest part of your hip will help your figure stand out more.
A distressed jean. You can really wear any type of jean but picking one with some fading and distressing in the thigh area will give you a little more curve.
Colored/printed jeans. For one its a big trend right now and for two a brighter color on the bottom half of your body will make it look a little larger.

And I’ve been seeing a lot of people using Leather (or faux leather) to start helping transition there summer wardrobe to a fall one. I have put together some looks to help you try this out in your wardrobe. I did high end looks and also their affordable counterparts.
Leather Shorts: I think shorts are the easiest way to see if leather or faux leather is for you. They easily add a little edge to any outfit. I added a collared shirt in the color of the season and cute booties to stay on trend. The high-end shorts are $255 from Kelly Bergin and the budget friendly version are $20 from Forever21!
Leather Skirt: This is by far my favorite leather piece this season. They are perfect for a date or a night out with your friends depending on how your style it. I decided to glam this one up so I added shirts with embellished necklines and spike crystal heels to keep it a little tough without looks like a biker! So Chic! The High-end skirt is $396 by Alice + Olivia. The budget friendly version is $23 from Forever21.
Leather Pants: Pants are definitely the most daring on the three looks but when you do it (and do it RIGHT) you can totally elevate your style to a higher level. I made this looks more simple with the white blouse and jazzed it up some with killer red peep toe pumps! If your pants do not have pockets in the back of them I would suggest you always choose a shirt that covers most of your behind so as not to look, for lack of a better word non-flattering.The high-end pants are $4,280 from net-a-porter and the budget friendly version is a whopping $25 from forever21.
All the High-end looks are on the left and the lower-end are on the right. Could you tell right away which was which? Which look was your favorite? And which leather trend are you most likely to embrace? Please leave a comment below letting us know! Happy Shopping! 🙂
One of the recent trends introduced to us this spring/summer…
was of course the beautiful peplum trend! I absolutely have been LOVING this trend. It so easily gives you that hourglass shape everyone is after from the more voluptuous women (Kim Kardashian was recently spotted in the outfit in the middle) to the more straight framed women (like myself). It is an easy way to look more elegant and refined. If you have yet to try the peplum trend I encourage you to take a step to at least try one on! Below I pulled my favorite peplum skirts, shirt and dresses; I hope they inspire you to get into that dressing room and into a classy peplum. Happy shopping 🙂
and without feeling overly done, a denim vest or jacket is the perfect solution! It is just so easy and definitely a perfect wardrobe staple. Here’s 3 options I thought would be great ways and good inspiration for you to dust off your jean vest and give it another go this summer!
With a Maxi Dress: So you wore your maxi dress to the beach (or anywhere else for that matter) and are ready to go get dinner. Throw a denim jacket over it and you can have good meal without the cool shore weather bothering you.
HOW DO YOU STYLE YOUR DEMIN JACKETS? Leave comments below letting us know and what you think about these looks! We would love your feedback and LOVE to see your outfit too so link some in:) Happy Shopping!
With the 5o Shades of Grey Trilogy right now and I just got done reading the first book which was amazing! I highly recommend it. As I got lost in the book I became to visualize what Anastasia’s(main character and voice of the book) very popular “plum dress” would look like. I have so many ideas of how it would, I thought it would be fun for the other readers of the Trilogy to see my 3 interpretations of the dress. So please enjoy 🙂
Ana is a strong headed individual but she’s also very innocent and barely coming into her own and being able to be comfortable in her own skin so while the dress (which in the book she borrows from her roommate) is a more confident one the accessories are minimal and sweet.
This dress is also has the same essence as the first. It’s a little bit more covered up and has a great cross-back detailing. Again the accessories are minimal because to me she’s not too flashy of a girl, she is definitely more of a get up and go person.
For my third interpretation, I went with how I thought the gorgeous Christian Grey would of felt she looked the first time he sees her in the dress. He is helplessly attracted to her so I can only imagine how breathtaking he thought she looked so i deemed it appropriate to put a show stopper in here.
